My name's Nick Funk (yes, that's really my last name).

I've been coding for almost as long as I can remember. I've been making games since I was about 12 or 13. It's all my parent's fault. I was raised by two very cool, very nerdy electrical engineers.

It all started when I told my Dad I wanted to make video games. He told me I'd need to learn how to code. So he glided over to his bookshelf and pulled out a copy of the C Programming Guide. Its cover was about to fall off and it had been published long before I was born (1985), but I took it happily. Family friends helped me find an ancient copy of Visual Studio 6.0 to use and I got cracking. Before long, dinner conversation became focused on pointer arithmetic and algorithms. I was hooked.

A hop skip and a jump through the years later and I'm now a graduated computer science major working on industrial data visualization by day, video games by night with my beautiful wife Tanya (she's a 3D graphics designer, you should check out her page here).
